Odessa/Lubbock, Texas- Cameron Women's tennis visited West Texas to compete against the University Texas Permian Basin and Lubbock Christian University. Their first matchup of the weekend, Cameron fell short to the Hawks 5-2. On Saturday, the Chaps defeated the Aggies 6-1. 

Cameron won their #1 doubles matchup with Jenna Goessel and Anastasia Uspenskaia 6-2. However, the Aggies dropped the next two doubles sets 6-3 and 6-1. For #1 single, Cameron lost in retirement but bounced back strong in the #2 singles. Martyna Jankowska won handly 6-1, 6-0. Goessel fell short in a tiebreaker thriller 6-4, 6-4, 10-6. Cameron lost the final three singles to fall to the Hawks, 5-2. 

The Aggies began Saturday with an impressive win from the #1 doubles which consisted of Martyna Jankowska and Jenna Goessel who won 6-2. However the #2 doubles fell short to the Chaps. Lubbock Christian won the # doubles by forfeit on Cameron's side. 

In the singles, Jankowska started with an incredible back and forth matchup with her Lubbock Christian opponent. In a tie breaker, she lost the tough hard fought battle with a score of 6-1, 7-5, 10-5. For the #2 singles, Jenna Goessel won in consistent fashion with two 6-4 victories. Though, the Aggies would drop the remainder of their singles for the afternoon. The Chaps took singles #3 6-1, 6-0 and singles #4 6-1, 6-1. Cameron fell in singles #5 6-0, 6-2 and forfeited in singles #6. 

The Aggies will host Texas A&M Kingsville on April 4 and Angelo State on April 5th in Lawton OK.
