LAWTON, Oklahoma – Cameron University head men's basketball coach Kevin O'Connor has  accepted the head coaching position at Georgia Southwestern, an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Peach Belt Conference.
 
"We are incredibly grateful to Coach O'Connor for his leadership, dedication, and contributions to our men's basketball program over the past three years," said Cameron Director of Athletics Lou Izzi.
 
In his three seasons at Cameron, O'Connor compiled a record of 34-52, including a Lone Star Conference mark of 24-42.  O'Connor improved the program from four wins in his first season to 18 wins in his second season in 2023-24 and a berth in the Lone Star Conference playoffs where the Aggies upset perennial power West Texas A&M in the quarterfinal round.
