LAWTON, Okla. - The Cameron University women's golf team will be in Amarillo, TX on September 29th and 30th for the West Texas A&M Invitational. This marks the second tournament of the fall for the women's team.
The Aggies are entering this tournament after previously winning the Oklahoma Women's Intercollegiate on September 16th - their second year in a row claiming both the team and individual titles in the event.
Maria Savoca lead the team and was the overall individual champion with a score of +2.
The West Texas A&M Invitational will be played at La Paloma Golf Club. The course is a par 71 that measures at 5,807 yards.Â
The tournament will begin Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. with the teams playing 36 holes followed by the final round being played Tuesday morning.Â
The tournament is plays host to 15 teams: Odessa College, Adams State, CSU Monterey Bay, Western New Mexico, Garden City CC, New Mexico JC, Midwestern State, Cameron, Texas A&M-Kingsville, Lubbock Christian, West Texas A&M, Angelo State, Simon Fraser, UT Permian Basin and Chico State.
