Kingsville, Texas. - The Cameron University men's basketball team came up short against Texas A&M University- Kingsville Friday night. The Aggies competed in a back-and-forth battle with the Javelinas. Cameron and TAMUK were both shooting above 50% from the field in the first half. The Aggies would go into halftime with a small lead from a last-second layup from Michael Jones, 45-44. The fight would continue in the second half, with Cameron extending their lead, only for TAMUK to wrestle it back. The lead would continue to change between the two teams until the end of the game, where Cameron found themselves in a seven-point deficit in the final minutes. The Aggies would battle back within one point in the final seconds, but Texas A&M- KIngsville would hold on for the win.

The Leaders
  • Michael Jones led all scorers with 31 points and secured a double-double by adding 11 rebounds. 
  • Thomas Tangle also had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds
  • Jaden Juarez contributed with 13 points, shooting 3-of-6 (50%) from the 3-point line.
