Laredo, Texas. - The Cameron University men's basketball team defeated Texas A&M International University on Sunday afternoon. The Aggies started in a close battle throughout the beginning of the first half, but pulled away from the Dustdevils going into halftime with a 47-33 lead. In the first half, Cameron shot 67.86% from the field and made 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Coming out of halftime, Cameron would hold off TAMIU until the 13 minute mark of the second half, where the Dustdevils would gain ground on the Aggies to bring the score within single digits going into the final minutes. Just under the final minute of the game, TAMIU would tie up the score 79-79. Cameron would pull ahead to 82-79 until TAMIU would tie it up again with a 3-pointer made at 0:23 remaining on the clock.
CJ Yao would hit the jump shot just before the buzzer to secure the victory for the Aggies.

- Jordan Mitchell led the Aggies in scoring with 21 points and led in assists with 8.
- CJ Yao scored 18 points on shooting 7-of-9 from the field and shot 4-of-6 from the 3-point line, as well as securing 4 rebounds.
