Lawton, Okla. - The Cameron University Women's basketball team fell to UT Dallas at home Thursday evening. The Aggies struggled early with turnovers, allowing the Comets to take a slim 11-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. After trailing at the end of the first, Cameron found its rhythm from
Madison Griggs which sparked the offense in transition. The Aggies built their lead to as many as 10 points late in the half. The Comets scored on a last-second layup before heading into the break. Cameron opened the third quarter strong, extending its lead behind a three-pointer from
Mercedes Mancha. The Aggies maintained a slim advantage late in the period going into the fourth up 45-41. In the final quarter, both teams traded baskets and free throws, but UT Dallas capitalized at the line and from deep, including a late three-pointer and multiple free throws in the final minute to pull ahead. the Comets sealed the game at the free-throw line to secure the five-point win.
