Richardson, Texas - The Cameron University Men's tennis team defeated the University of Texas at Dallas in a Lone Star Conference match up, 6-1
The Aggies started off doubles with a win on the No. 3 court, after Tom Debonne and Zoheir Fardoun defeated Ben Barnet and Ronav Aviur, 6-0. On the No. 2 court, Santiago Ledesma and Abubakari Yakubu-Lea clinched the doubles point for Cameron with a 6-2 victory. On the No. 1 court, the match went unfinished.
In singles play, No. 9 Lukas Janousek took the win due to opponent retirement on the No. 1 court to put the Aggies up 2-0 in the match. On the No. 6 court, Tom Debonne picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win over Eduardo Pastor. Abubakari Yakubu-Lea clinched match point for Cameron with a straight-set win on the No. 4 court. On the No. 3 and No. 5 courts, Santiago Ledesma and Ulysee Esphahani earned straight-set wins to make it a 6-0 match. UT Dallas earned a singles point on the No. 2 court after Benjamin Dubois defeated Noe Milliard in a third set supertiebreaker to wrap up the match.
