LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron University Volleyball team opened its home Lone Star Conference schedule Friday evening against the University of Texas at Tyler inside Aggie Gym. The Aggies battled the Patriots through a pair of tightly contested sets and claimed the third before falling in four sets, 27-25, 25-18, 23-25, 25-15. Cameron went point-for-point with UT Tyler throughout the opening frame, which featured 11 ties. The Aggies fought off a set point to even the score at 25-25 on a kill from Anastasija Andelic before the Patriots scored the final two points for a 27-25 win. After UT Tyler took the second set, 25-18, Cameron responded with its strongest stretch of the night in the third. The Aggies jumped out to a 5-0 advantage behind the serve of Andelic and later extended the lead to 18-10. UT Tyler rallied to tie the set at 20, but Cameron answered down the stretch. Kayla Eggiman delivered a service ace to give the Aggies a 22-21 advantage before Maria Osorio closed the set with a kill for the 25-23 victory. The Patriots responded in the fourth, using a mid-set run to pull away and secure the match with a 25-15 win. Cameron finished the night with 38 kills, 60 digs and six total blocks.

Key Performers
Maria Osorio led the Cameron attack with a team-high 11 kills on 34 attempts. She added four digs and three block assists to finish with a team-high 12.5 points.
Taylor Silva finished with 10 kills on 35 attacks for a .200 hitting percentage while adding four digs and 10 points.
Ana Hrle recorded five kills on 14 attempts with just one error for a team-best .286 hitting percentage. She also contributed four block assists and three digs to finish with seven points.
Anastasija Andelic contributed five kills, one service ace, 12 digs and a block assist, finishing with 6.5 points.
Addison McClure anchored the Cameron defense with a team-high 16 digs while adding five assists.
Sydney Walker handed out a team-high 17 assists and added 10 digs.
Mavery Salisbury added 15 assists and four digs, while Lillian Carollo contributed four kills, two block assists and five points.
