Cameron McConnell joined the Aggie coaching staff in the fall of 2016 and was a four-year letter winner at the University of Norte Dame (2007-11).
McConnell appeared in over 100 games for the Fighting Irish and played in over 50 BIG EAST contests who ND coaches remarked that he had the strongest throwing arm of any catcher in the BIG EAST conference.  In 2010, he was one of 53 catchers to be named for the Johnny Bench Award by The Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission.Â
McConnell was a head coach at the Players Edge Baseball & Softball Academy, most notably for Northern Knights Baseball, an elite program focusing on the development of high school age baseball players ages 15 through 18.
McConnell graduated from Deerfield High School where he was rated by Baseball America as the #34 prospect in Illinois (16th among prep players).
