STEPHENVILLE, Texas (Oct. 27, 2011) — Cameron’s volleyball team hit the road Thursday, traveling to Stephenville, Texas to take on the Tarleton State TexAnns.
Cameron (14-11, 8-9) fought hard throughout the contest but fell short against Tarleton (15-13, 9-7) in three sets, 19-25, 15-25, 23-25.
“They played really well,” said Head Coach Doug Tabbert. “We had a hard time stopping them and a hard time getting kills. But, we came back in game three even after having it rough in the first two. We really competed pretty well with them in game three.”
Senior Malyssa Acton finished with 7 kills to lead the Black and Gold offensively. Senior Sarah Corbett and freshman Kelle Carver also chipped in, tallying five kills each.
The Aggies will remain on the road for its next match, facing off against Dallas Baptist (13-13, 7-5) at 2 p.m. Saturday in Dallas.
