LAWTON, OK – Cameron University Director of Athletics
Lou Izzi has named Danlynn Silva as the Aggies new head volleyball coach. A native of Hawaii and a former accomplished Division I player, Silva served as an assistant coach at Division II Florida Tech this past season and also has been the head coach of the Nike-sponsored Maunalani Elite Volleyball Club in Honolulu, Hawaii since 2021.
"We are excited to welcome Dani, and her husband Royden, into our Cameron Athletics family," said Izzi. "Dani is an experienced collegiate and elite club coach with a Division I background and an established pipeline to high-level players throughout the country, especially in Hawaii and on the west coast." She is known for building outstanding programs that value competitive success, strong team culture, academic accountability, and strong community connection."
Silva was a highly-accomplished player at Arkansas Little Rock from 1997-2000 where she was a member of three Sun Belt Conference championship teams that played in three NCAA Division I tournaments. Silva was a setter who still ranks seventh all-time in program history with 2,161 career assists. She also ranks sixth all-time in program history with 1,266 assists in one season.

Silva graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences.
