OKLAHOMA CITY – The Cameron women’s tennis team opened its season in impressive fashion today against Southern Nazarene University. The Aggies swept the Crimson Storm, continuing its undefeated record from the fall season without skipping a beat.

The Black and Gold picked up all three doubles matches with ease. The No. 1 duo of Amanda Moberg and Julia Puckhaber clenched a routine 8-3 win over their counterparts. Sara Londono and Florencia Tornero came away with an 8-4 victory at the No. 2 spot, while Elvira Sholles and Antonia Moberg secured an 8-2 decision at the No. 3 position.

In singles play, Anotonia Moberg double bagelled her opponent at the No. 6 slot, allowing the Aggies to go up 4-0. Londono was up 6-2, 5-2 at No. 5 – one game away from taking the match – when rain started falling and the remainder of the contest was called off. Nevertheless, the Black and Gold were able to claim victory.

Both Aggie tennis teams will see action again at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Streich-Henry Tennis Complex when they battle against Cowley College.
