LAWTON, Okla. – The #11 ranked Aggie women tennis team got their first win of the spring season, shutting out Cowley College, 9-0.

In doubles, Cameron got convincing wins out of all three of their teams. The pairing of Amanda Moberg and Elvira Sholles beat their opponents 8-5. Both the teams of Julia Puckhaber and Laura Winter and Florencia Tornero and Antonia Moberg beat their Cowley College counterparts 8-1.

In the singles matchups, Am. Moberg got the two set win (6-1, 6-0), followed by a Puckhaber (6-4, 6-3) two set win. Shalles, Winter, and An. Moberg all got (6-0, 6-0) two set wins, shutting out their opponents. Tornero got another two set win for the Aggies, winning (6-1, 6-2).

This win gives the #11 nationally ranked team and head coach James Helvey a good showing of what the team can accomplish later through the season.

Cameron will play again on Feb. 16, when they head to Arkadelphia, Ark. for a matchup against the University of Arkansas Ft.-Smith.
