FORT SMITH, Ark. -- The #11 Cameron women's tennis team edged out a 5-4 victory against Arkansas-Ft. Smith on Saturday afternoon.

In doubles, partners Amanda Moberg and Florencia Tornero took the match 8-1 at the No. 1 slot. The duo of Julia Puckhaber and Laura Winter won their match 8-2 while the pairing of Elvira Sholles and Antonia Moberg fell 8-4 to opponents Taylor Price and Whitney Hobson.

In singles, Amanda Moberg claimed a 6-2, 6-1 win as Puckhaber dominated her match 6-3, 6-0. In the No. 6 slot, Antonia Moberg fell 6-2, 6-1 to her opponent. Tornero secured a 6-3, 6-1 victory while Sholles fell 6-2, 6-7, 6-1, and Winter was defeated 6-3, 5-7, 10-8.

Holding a 2-0 record, the women will go on to Arkadelphia, Ark. to compete against Ouachita Baptist on Feb. 17.
