LAWTON, Okla. – The #12 Cameron University returned to their winning ways at home sweeping Northwestern Missouri State, 9-0 on Sunday afternoon.
For the Aggies, it was a rebound victory after falling last week to Grand Canyon, they are now 11-2 overall.
In doubles, Northwest Missouri gave Cameron some trouble in all three matches. The pairing of Amanda Moberg and Julia Puckhaber in one doubles earned an 8-5 over their Bearcat counterparts. In two doubles, Florencia Tornero and Laura Winter won 8-5, while in the three slot Elvira Sholles and Antonia Moberg got a 8-4 victory.
While in singles, the Aggies showed no troubles finishing the job on the Bearcats. Amanda Moberg had to battle in the one slot winning 6-3, 6-4, it was her ninth win of the season. Reigning Lone Star Conference Player of the Week, Julia Puckhaber won her sixth match in a row, 6-0, 6-1. Sholles won in the three slot, 6-2, 7-6, Tornero got a 6-0, 6-4 win in four singles, while Antonia Moberg and Winter both got wins 6-1, 6-2, and 6-0, 6-2.Â
Cameron will return to action on March 26 at Southeastern Oklahoma State at 1:30 p.m
