STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The Cameron University women’s tennis team suffered an early season setback falling in their LSC opener 5-4 to Tarleton State on Wednesday afternoon in Stephenville, Texas.
The Aggies (5-1) set themselves back falling in two of their three doubles matches and couldn’t recover in singles to the TexAnns.
The pairings of Amanda Moberg and Florencia Tornero fell in one doubles 8-4 and Julia Puckhaber and Laura Winter lost in two doubles, 8-5.  In three doubles, Elvira Sholles and Antonia Moberg won a tight 8-6 match.  
In singles, Amanda Moberg won her match in the one singles slot, 7-5, 6-2.  While her sister, Antonia won in five singles, 6-2, 6-7, 10-7, and Winter won 7-6, 4-6, 10-4 in six singles.   However, the Ags would drop two through four singles resulting in the Tarleton win.
Puckhaber fell in the number two slot, 6-1, 5-7, and 7-5, Sholles lost in three singles, 6-2, 6-4, and Tornero fell, 6-4, 6-0 in four singles.  
The Cameron women will make a Colorado swing-through starting on March 8 to play Colorado Christian and Metro State.
