Live StatsAround the LSC:Â Friday will consist of six matches, including three non-conference games and three conference games. While Texas Woman's visits Cameron, Tarleton State will be at Kingsville, and Texas A&M-Commerce faces a battle at Midwestern State. West Texas A&M plays Dallas Baptist in Lubbock, Texas on Friday afternoon and then they will take on Lubbock Christian to complete the double-header, while Angelo State makes the trip to St. Edward's. On Saturday, while the Lions are at the Aggie Gym, Angelo State will go to Texas A&M-Kingsville and Midwestern State will host Texas Woman's. Additionally, Eastern New Mexico will face a non-conference double-header against Dallas Baptist and UT-Permian Basin, while West Texas takes on another pair of games, this time in Weatherford, against Oklahoma Baptist and Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Looking back: Cameron fell 3-1 to Eastern New Mexico earlier this week when they headed west to Portales. After losing the first set, 25-20, the Aggies were able to tie the match with a 25-22 in set two, but the offense went flat in sets three and four losing to the Zias 25-14 and 25-16. CU could only manage 37 kills to ENMU's 59, while also getting out-hit .109 to .279, and losing the battle at the net four to 15.
Cristina Viera led the Aggies with eight kills and 13 digs, while
Kat Evans chipped in seven kills and nine digs.
Ingrid Boatman had a team high 17 assists, with
Kayla Hebert adding 11. Additionally,
Lindsey McCauley contributed 12 digs from her Libero position.
Looking forward: Texas Woman's is second in the Lone Star Conference and Texas A&M-Commerce is second to last, just behind the Aggies. Earlier this season, the Aggies lost to the Pioneers in straight sets, with TWU hitting .336 as a team winning the battle at the net nine to one. CU won the first meeting with the Lions of the season in a five set thriller at Commerce. Cameron had four players with double-digit kills, including
Shannon DuLaney with 14,
Cristina Viera with 13,
Kat Evans with 12, and
Rebecca Green with 11.
Kayla Hebert had a double-double with 30 assists and 20 digs, while
Ingrid Boatman added 23 assists, and Viera recording a career high 31 digs. DuLaney, Evans,
Lindsey McCauley, and
Taylor Tepfer all had over 10 digs as well.
On the horizon:Â The Aggies will face a non-conference test on Oct. 28 when they head to Weatherford for non-conference match at Southwestern Oklahoma State.
