Live StatsAround the LSC: The Lone Star Conference weekend slate includes four matches on Friday and then four on Saturday. While the Red River Showdown is going on in Lawton on Friday, West Texas A&M will be visiting Angelo State, while Eastern New Mexico heads to Tarleton State and Texas A&M-Kingsville heads to Texas A&M-Commerce. On Saturday while the Aggies head to Northwestern, Eastern New Mexico will visit Angelo State, West Texas A&M will head to Tarleton State, and Texas A&M-Kingsville will make a trip to Texas Woman's.
Looking back: Cameron got back to their winning ways Tuesday night when they took down non-conference opponent Southwestern Oklahoma 3-1. The Aggies fell behind early, losing set one 25-17, but surged back and took the next three sets 25-18, 25-8, and 25-18. CU out hit the Bulldogs .219 to .104, but got bested at the net, recording only five blocks to SWOSU's 13.
Kendra Adams led the way for Cameron, recording 16 kills, hitting .238, and recording five digs and two blocks. Additionally
Kat Evans had 14 kills with a .268 hitting percentage and nine digs, and
Rebecca Green had 10 kills with a .276 attack percentage and eight digs and four blocks.
Ingrid Boatman had 41 assists and 16 digs, while
Kayla Hebert had 11 assists and 12 digs.
Lindsey McCauley recorded a career high 24 digs while
Cristina Viera chipped in 18.
Looking forward:Â The Mustangs and the Aggies are tied at the bottom of the Lone Star Conference standings, both at 3-11. Earlier this season Cameron fell to MSU 3-2 in a five set battle with the Mustangs having three players with 10 kills a piece and a 12-4 block differential. For CU, Green led them with 21 kills, while Evans, Adams, and
Shannon DuLaney all chipped in double digits as well. Hebert had 49 assists to go along with 23 digs for the Aggies third double-double, as Evans and DuLaney both recorded double-digit digs as well.
Cameron faced NWOSU in their first match of the season with the Rangers taking the match 3-1. Northwestern had better block numbers and a better hitting percentage, and had two players with double-digit dig matches. Green led CU with 12 kills, while Viera and injured freshman
Jordan Escobar chipping in 11 a piece. Boatman led the Aggies with 20 assists while Hebert chipped in 14. Viera, Evans, DuLaney, and
Taylor Tepfer all had over 10 digs a piece.
On the horizon:Â Cameron will have a week off before they head to Texas A&M-Kingsville for their last Lone Star Conference match of the regular season.
