SHAWNEE, Okla. – The Cameron University tennis teams took down Oklahoma Baptist 7-2 in the men's side and 6-3 in women's action on Tuesday.
 
Both teams faced ranked opponents with the OBU women's team ranked 11^th in the nation in NAIA play and 18^th in the men's side.
 
The #35 Aggie women went 2-1 in double competition; in the three slot the pairing of  Antonia Moberg and Laura Roberts earned an 8-0 sweep.  In singles, Cameron fell in the top two slots but earned wins in the bottom half for the lineup to win 4-2.  
 
Moberg had to battle back from a 6-1 loss in set one to win 6-4, 6-3 in the six slot.
 
In men's action the #15 ranked Aggies took doubles 2-1 and they would only drop their top singles slot en route to the 7-2 win.
 
Both Dennis Merdan and Felipe Oyarzun had to rally from a 6-3 first set loss win to their respective matches.
 
The two victories on Tuesday place Head Coach James Helvey at 697 career wins overall.
 
Helvey will have a chance to win his 700^th match with four opportunities on Friday and Saturday with both programs hosting their home openers against UA-Fort Smith and Metro State.
