LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron men's tennis team won both of their matches on Saturday against Ouachita Baptist and East Central University, bringing their season record to 8-2.

The Aggies got off to a great start beating Ouachita Baptist 5-1, sweeping all three doubles matches. The slot one duo of Dennis Merdan and Angelo Lencioni beat their opponents 8-5, while both the pairings of Rory de Boer/Felipe Oyarzun and Dean Weigelt/Joao Fazendeiro also won their match 8-3.

The men stayed strong in singles winning two of their three singles matches. Weigelt scored a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win while Fazendeiro also finished in two sets, posting 6-3, 6-2.

In the match against East Central, Cameron once again earned wins in all of their doubles matches. In the one doubles pairing, Merdan and Lencioni posted an 8-5 win, as de Boer and Oyarzun scored an 8-2 win and Weigelt and Fazendeiro came away with a tough 9-7 win in the third spot.

Individually, Merdan eased a 6-2, 6-1 victory in slot one as Lencioni came away with a 6-4, 6-3 win, guiding the Aggies to a 5-2 win over ECU.

The Aggies will head to Maryville, Missouri for their next match to face Northwest Missouri State on Thursday, March 6 at 1 pm.
