KINGSVILLE, Texas -- Cameron's winning streak hit 10 matches after defeating Texas A&M Kingsville 7-2 in their Lone Star Conference opener on Sunday.
The Aggies (10-0, 1-0 LSC) used a 2-1 lead out of doubles to take five out of six singles slots for the match win over the Javelinas.
Florencia Tornero won her ninth singles match of the season in the four slot 6-0, 6-0; this was the third straight match that she has swept an opponent.
Samantha Wood remains a perfect 10-0 in singles after a 6-1, 6-1 win in the three slot.
The Cameron women will next face Incarnate Word on Tuesday in non-conference action.
Note: The Cameron men postponed their scheduled match with Laredo CC to Monday at 10 am.
