LAWTON, Okla. -- Cameron wrapped up their week with a tough fought 5-4 loss to Southwest Baptist.
One day removed from edging nearby Midwestern State 5-4, the Bearcats stuck again to give Cameron their third loss of the season and first at home.
Cameron got into trouble after dropping their top two doubles slots to hand the Bearcats a 2-1 lead into singles competition. Â
Antonia Moberg and
Magdalena Kovinic saved CU from a doubles sweep by edging out SBU for a 9-7 win.Â
This was first time this season Cameron had to rally from behind out of doubles but they would split singles play to fall 5-4.
Florencia Tornero came back from a first set 7-5 loss to take sets two and three, 6-0 and 7-5 for her twelfth singles win of the season.
The loss against sends CU to 12-3 overall and they will return to action on Tuesday to face Dallas Baptist in a regional matchup.
