TOPEKA, Kan. – The Cameron men's tennis team wrapped up a three match road trip with a 5-1 win over #31 Washburn on Saturday.
Cameron's match started outdoors but because of weather the event was moved to an indoor location.
Despite the change in location the Aggies earned a 2-1 advantage out of doubles with
Rory de Boer and
Felipe Oyarzun earning a 8-5 match win in the two slot;
Dean Weigelt and
Joao Fazendeiro won their three doubles slot to the same score against their Washburn counterparts.
In singles competition, it was the bottom half of the CU lineup that pushed them to the win by taking slots four through six; Weigelt in the six slot blanked Washburn's Jacob Long 6-0, 6-0.
With the win the Aggies are presently 10-3 overall and they will return to action on March 16 in Kingsville, Texas to face Laredo Community College.
