CU faces Seminole State and showdown with MSU set for Thursday

Aggie women will play for a LSC Regular Season Title on Thursday
LAWTON, Okla. – With only a handful of matches remaining in their the regular season schedule the #17 Cameron University men's tennis team will face Seminole State at the Westwood Tennis Center in Norman for a neutral site match on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

The Trojans are the #4 Junior College in the nation carrying a season record at 9-6 overall; against NCAA Division II programs SSC is 1-1, falling 8-1 to Midwestern State and beating CSU-Pueblo 5-0.

Cameron is aiming for win number-17 they last played SSC in 2013 and narrowly beat the Trojans 5-4 to end their regular season schedule. 

On the horizon for the Aggies is with a match at Midwestern State on Thursday which has an important meaning for both men's and women's programs.

The Aggie men are sitting in second behind MSU for the top spot in the NCAA South Central Region, a win could propel Cameron back to the top seed once again. 

For the women, they are playing for a Lone Star Conference regular season title and a win against the Mustangs who are also sitting on top of the regional rankings would strengthen CU's cause to stay inside the top-four teams in the region vying for a NCAA postseason berth.  

Originally, the Aggie women were to play for the LSC title on Monday but because of high winds and cold weather the match has been moved to Thursday at 10 a.m., with the CU men following at 2 p.m.
