NORMAN, Okla. – A doubles sweep by Seminole State proved to be too much to overcome for the Cameron University men's tennis team as they would fall 5-4 on Tuesday.
Cameron's loss to the Trojans, who were number-4 in the ITA Division I NJCAA national rankings was their first to a Junior College since the 2012 season.
The Aggies attempted to recover in singles competition with wins in the three, four, and five slot.
Dennis Merdan came away with a three set come-from-behind 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 win in the top spot but CU would fall in the remaining singles positions.
Angelo Lencioni moved to 16-7 this season with his fourth win in a row in the three-slot.
With the loss to SSC the Aggies fall to 16-7 overall and they will return to action on Thursday at Midwestern State.
