SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The #30 Cameron University women's tennis team fell 5-0 to #17 St. Mary's in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon.
With match time temperatures hovering around 100, Cameron struggled to keep pace to the Rattlers and they would sweep CU in doubles.

Samantha Wood stayed within reach in the two-slot but they would ultimately fall 8-6.
SMU with the 3-0 lead would only need to win two singles slots for the win. Wood would fall first in the three-slot 6-2, 6-0, and
Antonia Moberg followed with a 6-2, 6-1 loss in the six slot and ending CU's season.
Despite the SMU sweep in the NCAA Tournament the Aggies had a successful season finishing with an 18-7 overall record with three freshman play in Sunday's regional. The match also marked the end for
Florencia Tornero and
Antonia Moberg who played all four years at Cameron.
St. Mary's will move onto the NCAA Division II Championships for the round of 16 in in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
