LAWTON, Okla. – In their final individual tune up before ITA Regional's this weekend the Cameron University women's tennis team saw mixed results.
FINAL RESULTSThe Aggies faced individuals from Dallas Baptist, Midwestern State, Tyler Junior College, North Central Texas College, Texas A&M-Kingsville, and UT-Permian Basin.
Midwestern State controlled their own tournament by winning each of the major flights. Cameron would finish on top of the Back Draw Maroon doubles bracket with the pairing of
Paula Gutierrez and
Angie Torres beating a doubles team from UTPB 8-6.
As team the Aggies went 8-8 in singles while going 3-4 in doubles action. Gutierrez and
Magdalena Kovinic both would go 2-1 in singles, while Gutierrez and
Angie Torres earned all three of CU's doubles wins.
Cameron will return to action this weekend against most of the South Central Region at the ITA Regional's hosted by Midwestern State.Â
