Aggies start season 3-1 with wins over Fort Lewis and Molloy

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- Cameron volleyball will enter conference play next weekend with a 3-1 overall record after wins on Saturday against Fort Lewis and Molloy.

The Aggies are now on a three match winning streak, their longest since the start of the 2012 season.

"The team had a really good effort on the court today," said head coach Qi Wang.  "We played better as the day went forward in terms of composure."

"There were plenty of individuals contributing in both matches on the offensive side and defensive side of the court. We know though we'll have to continue working hard as a group this week in practice with conference starting next weekend."

In the opener, Cameron had three with at least 10 kills and a pair with double-doubles in what would be a balanced 3-1 win over Fort Lewis (25-15, 25-21, 21-25, 25-14).

Cameron in sets one and four the team knocked down a combined 28 kills while limiting themselves to only four errors.  In the fourth set, CU's attack percentage hit a whopping .444 and rattled off a 10-0 run to open the frame and grounded any chance of a Skyhawk comeback.

However, Cameron's best performance was saved last by sweeping Molloy (25-19, 25-14, 25-11) in straight sets for their first sweep in 12 attempts.

The Aggies limited themselves to only nine errors while netting 38 kills in the win; while holding Molloy to a -.010 attack percentage.   Cameron's offense hit a one year high with a .315 attack that was led by Evans who came down with a match high 10 kills.

Evans limited herself to only two errors and hit .333 and added seven digs.

On the defensive end, DuLaney led the team with 12 digs, with Paige Holt getting five blocks at the net.
