ADA – The Cameron women's tennis team made quick work of the University of Mary beating the Marauders 9-0 in a neutral site contest in Ada on Monday afternoon.
The number-31 ranked Aggies swept the team from Bismarck N.D. in doubles with
Angie Torres and
Magdalena Kovinic sweeping the two slot 8-0. Â
Samantha Wood and
Dejana Veljic handled their UMary foes in the three slot by winning 8-2.
In singles Wood earned a clean 6-0, 6-0 sweep in the three slot, while both Torres and Kovinic won their matches to 6-0, 6-2 scores. Â
Eugenia Sanchez won her match in the five slot by just dropping one game in a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
With the win against UMary the Aggies are now 3-0 this season, the Marauders will fall to 2-6 overall.Â
Cameron will return to the court on Thursday to host East Central at 1 p.m.
