LAWTON – Dominate singles play by Northwest Missouri State allowed for a 6-3 win on CU's home court on Tuesday afternoon.
The #19 Aggies who have been dominate at home in recent years, have dropped their third match in Lawton this season, which is the programs most in at least the last seven seasons.
Cameron did take an early advantage over the #16 Bearcats by taking the top two doubles slots. Mateo Velasco and
Felipe Oyarzun had use a tiebreaker to win 9-8(6) in the number-2 slot.
However, things went south for the Aggies in singles play with Oyarzun as CU's only win in the four slot; he would with 6-4, 6-3. Â
Cameron has now dropped three of their last four matches and will face an uphill battle with three regional matches in Colorado in the coming days; the Aggies will face Metropolitan State of Denver on Friday, March 27.
