GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Strong singles play guided Cameron to a 6-3 win over Colorado Mesa on Sunday for their second victory in their Rocky Mountain swing.
The Aggies had to come from behind though after dropping two points out of doubles play.
Andres Velasco and
Florian Kartner prevented a Maverick sweep with an 8-5 win in the three-slot.
In single play, Cameron rallied back and took the two through six slots for the match win.
Angelo Lencioni came away with a three-set 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 win;
Iustin Baciu handled his oppenant in the six lot 6-0, 6-2.
The win for Cameron was their second in a row and they will go to 6-3 overall.
Cameron will remain in the Mile High State for one more match on Monday to face Colorado State-Pueblo. Both teams met earlier this season in Lawton with the Aggies winning 8-1.
