PUEBLO, Colo. – The Aggie women's tennis team earned their ninth win of the season and third in row, beating CSU-Pueblo 7-2 on Monday.
Cameron's victory completed a successful three match road trip against the RMAC that will improve their in-region record to 3-1.
The ThunderWolves who were 3-6 entering their match with the Aggies dropped two doubles matches with
Angie Torres and
Samantha Wood sweeping the number-2 doubles slot. In singles play, Cameron dominated CSU-Pueblo and they took the top-5 slots for the match win. Torres only dropped one game in the number-2 slot in a 6-1, 6-0 victory, Wood went 6-2, 6-1 in the number-3 slot.
With the victory the Aggies are now 9-4 overall and they will return home to face St. Edward's and Texas A&M-Kingsville this Thursday and Friday. The match against the Javelinas on Fridaywill be CU's Lone Star Conference opener.
