LAWTON – The Cameron University men's tennis team fell 6-3 at home on Monday afternoon to rival Midwestern State. The loss drops CU's record this season to 14-8 and they are now 6-5 on their home court.

Joao Fazendeiro lost 8-5 in the two spot. The lone doubles win for CU came in the three spot as the pairing of
Angelo Lencioni/
Andres Velasco won their match 8-5.
In singles, the Aggies fell in all but two of their matches. M. Velasco got a 6-4, 6-4 win in the four spot and Lencioni won 7-6, 6-4 in the five spot. Merdan, Oyarzun, and Fazendeiro all lost in two sets in spots one through three, and
Iustin Baciu lost in three sets in the five spot.
Midwestern State is now 16-5 this season, and is currently first in the South Central Regional rankings, while the Aggies are in fourth.
Cameron will close out their regular season on April 22 as they travel to Norman, Okla. to take on Seminole State College in a neutral site contest, before post-season play begins.
