LAWTON – The Lone Star Conference women's tennis championship will come back to an on-campus location for the first time in three years with Cameron hosting the league's four tennis programs on April 24-25 at the Streich-Henry Tennis Complex.
Cameron will come into the tournament field as the number-3 seed and they will face Texas A&M-Kingsville as the two-seed.  Both teams met in Lawton earlier this season with the Javelinas coming ahead in a narrow 5-4 win on April 3.Â

http://statb.us/b/89664The Aggies have the afternoon duel at 2 p.m. with Midwestern State playing the 10 a.m. match as the league's top-seed. MSU won the regular season league championship with a perfect 3-0 record and will look to repeat as tournament champions, they will face Tarleton State who went winless in league play. The two teams met on April 14 in Wichita Falls with the Mustangs winning 8-1.
For NCAA postseason regional play, there is no automatic qualifier that will come from the LSC. Midwestern State comes in as the number-2 team in the South Central Region and Cameron slid to number-5 after the release by the NCAA on Wednesday. Â
With only four teams advancing, the Aggies are outside looking in and would need to win the league tournament title for a chance at advancing to the NCAA tournament for a second straight year.
Both matches will be played in tournament style format with the first team to reach five points being declared as the winner.Â
Friday's advancing teams will play at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
