ARLINGTON, Texas -- Cameron completed their DFW loop with a 4-0 loss to UT-Arlington and finished their three match trip 1-2 on Saturday.Â
Despite the final results for the Aggies, in the last three days they went up against a pair of top-10 ITA/NJCAA programs and faced the Mavericks who are a NCAA Division I member to open their spring schedule.
UT-Arlington picked up the doubles point sweeping all three slots. Both of CU's top pairings won three games;
Joao Fazendeiro and
Daniel Ferl in the number-3 doubles slot picked up four games on UTA.
In singles play, UTA beat
Dennis Merdan 6-2, 6-0 in the top slot, and both of the Aggies' three and four spots were both recorded losses to clinch the win for the Mavericks.Â
With the victory UTA will go to 3-3 overall and the Aggies will fall to 2-2.
Cameron will be off until their spring home opener on Feb. 16 against Oklahoma Baptist at 1 p.m.Â
