LAWTON -- The #15 Cameron men stayed hot at home beating Colorado Mesa 8-1 on Wednesday to stay perfect in Lawton in five matches this season.
Cameron's only blemish of the afternoon came in its top-doubles slot with
Felipe Oyarzun and
Mateo Velasco falling 8-6 The Aggie pairing was ranked #18 in the ITA National doubles poll and sat on top of the South Central region; CMU's pair was unranked in the national poll and was #10 in the region.
The Aggies took a clean sweep in singles with
Dennis Merdan and
Joao Fazendeiro rallying back from set-one losses. Fazendeiro's 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 win in the second singles slot was his fourth in a row.
Vinicius Santos moved to 6-1 this season with a 6-3, 6-2 victory in the three slot.
Wednesday's win will move the Aggies to 7-2 this season and CSM falls to 10-8.
Cameron will remain at home to face Southwest Baptist on Thursday at noon.
