LAWTON – The #15 Cameron men's tennis team is now riding a four match winning streak picking up a 5-2 win over #13 Ouachita Baptist and sweeping CSU-Pueblo 9-0 on Saturday.

In the morning match against OBU, the Aggies took the top two doubles slots for the early 2-1 lead.  Saturday's doubles competition featured an ITA national top-30 meeting in the number-1 slot with CU's #18 Felipe Oyarzun and Mateo Velasco beating #29 Vitor Oliveira and Luis Chab 8-5. 

In singles play, the Aggies picked up wins in the two, four, and five singles slots for clinch the match win over OBU.  Joao Fazendeiro claimed a 7-6, 6-2 win in the number-2 singles slot, and Mateo Velasco won 6-3, 6-3 in the number-3 slot.

With the loss to the Aggies, the Tigers will fall to 7-2.

Cameron would go on and face CSU-Pueblo and had no problem in the dual sweeping all three doubles slots and only dropped one game.

In singles play, Dennis Merdan took the top slot 6-2, 6-2 and Daniel Ferl earned a 6-0, 6-0 sweep in the number-6 doubles slot.  The ThunderWolves will fall to 3-7 after their loss to CU.

Cameron holds a 7-2 season record and will face Southeastern Oklahoma on March 8 in Oklahoma City.
