MARYVILLE, Mo. -- #12 Cameron faltered for only the second time this season to a NCAA Division II institution falling to #16 Northwest Missouri State 5-0 on Friday.

The Bearcats entered their contest with the Aggies as the top team in the ITA Central Region and winners of their last four matches, their two losses this season come against Division I competition.

Cameron dropped all of their doubles matches and things could have gone differently on Friday if it weren't for a 9-8 (7-4) tiebreaker loss in their top doubles slot.  Trailing by three into singles, CU couldn't regain their footing and dropped its two-singles slot 6-0, 6-1, and fell 6-0, 6-3 in the three slot.

At the time match was suspended, CU was trailing in its top and four singles spot.

The loss to the Bearcats will drop Cameron to 12-4 and Northwest Missouri will go to 11-2 overall.

Cameron will return to host Seward County on April 9.
