NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – No. 12 Cameron picked up their third win in a row beating No. 27 St. Mary's 6-3 on Saturday at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch.Â
Saturday's match was a quality in-region win for the Aggies with St. Mary's sitting  at No. 3 and Cameron on top of the poll.  Â
The Aggies set pace early in doubles with wins in the two and three spots. Â Bruno Babic and Mateo Velasco won in the two-slot 8-2 for their fourth win in a row;Â Dennis Merdan and Joao Fazendeiro took the three-slot 8-4 for their ninth win this season.Â
In singles, Cameron buckled down and won three matches in three sets to clinch the win. Â Merdan won in the top-slot over No. 47 ranked Michael Maciel 7-6, 2-6, 6-2, Fazendeiro took the two-slot 6-1, 6-7, 6-3, and Velasco grabbed a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 win in CU's five-slot. Â Â Â
Cameron's win will send them to 15-4 overall and St. Mary's dropped to 12-10.Â
The Aggies will be off until April 20 where they will travel to Midwestern State for their final regular season road contest.
