LAWTON – One day removed from a heartbreaking loss at No. 11 Midwestern State, the No. 12 Aggie men's tennis team breezed past Arkansas-Fort Smith 9-0 on Thursday. Â
Cameron faced a Lions squad that has dropped their last 13 matches in a row and has been swept in their last four matches.
The Aggies made quick work in doubles play after winning its two and three slots by sizable margins.  Â

Joao Fazendeiro won 8-3, while
Felipe Oyarzun and
Mateo Velasco took the top slot 8-5 over the Lions.
In singles play, CU dominated from top-down and took all six spots. Merdan edged out a 7-6 first set in the top-singles spot but swept Josh Coleman 6-0 in set-two. Fazendeiro won a close 6-4 set in his three-singles spot but took the match with a 6-1 set-two win.
With the win over the Lions, the Aggies will move to 16-5 overall, while UAFS drops to 2-13.
Cameron will return to the courts on Friday morning to host Texas Permian-Basin at 9 a.m.
