LAWTON – No. 12 Cameron shook-off Texas-Permian Basin in singles for a 5-2 win on Friday afternoon to stay perfect at home this season in ten matches.

The Aggies would drop its top two doubles spots in a 9-8 tiebreaker with
Dennis Merdan and
Joao Fazendeiro sweeping the three-slot.

Despite falling behind 2-1 to UTPB heading into singles play, the Aggies made quick work of the Falcons to move to 17-5 to season and matching their 2015 win total.Â

Vinicius Santos moved to 13-6 this season as a true freshman with a 6-0, 6-2 win in the two-slot and
Mateo Velasco had the same final result in the five-slot to bring his season record to 18-3.  Merdan took CU's top-singles spot with a 6-3, 6-3 victory.

The loss to Cameron will send UTPB to 4-7 overall.

Cameron will close out their week on Saturday with a 2 p.m. match against Newman.
