LAWTON – The No. 15 Cameron men's tennis team closed out the regular season falling 6-3 to No. 3 (NJCAA) Seminole State on Wednesday.

The loss was the Aggies' first on their home court in 12 contests at Streich-Henry Tennis Complex this season, and they drop to 19-6 overall while Seminole State moves to 19-4.

Cameron took their top two doubles slots as the pairing of Felipe Oyarzun and Mateo Velasco defeated No. 3 ranked opponents, 8-6; while in the number-two doubles slot Vinicius Santos and Andres Velasco beat their  No. 16 ranked opponents, 8-2.

On the singles side, Cameron avoided the singles sweep with Vinicius Santos taking the third slot win over No. 41 Stefan Gonzalez, 7-6, 6-3. Seminole State won the five remaining spots, but Bruno Babic (7-6, 4-6, 7-6) and Dennis Merdan (6-3, 4-6, 6-4) took their competition to three sets.

Additionally, the ITA released its new national poll, and the Aggies fell three spots to No. 15, Midwestern State is ranked one spot above CU.  Additionally, Merdan entered at No. 45 in the nationally singles poll as Cameron's lone individual appearing.

The Aggies who are No. 2 in NCAA South Central Region will wait until the Division II Selection, which is on Tuesday, May 3rd at 7:00 p.m. on NCAA.com.
