Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron University tennis teams split a pair of matches against Southeastern Oklahoma State on Monday as the CU women won 6-3, and the Aggie men fell 6-3.

Cameron started out the women's match with a pair of dominant wins in both the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches as the pairing of Zhenia Shviadok and Mathilde Thibaudat and the duo of Melany Opolz and Rebeka Velasova both won 8-2.

In singles, Thibaudat, Sara Petric, and Velasova each won their matches in two sets, while Sarah Frendo went to three sets in her match in the No. 3 singles spot.

With the men's match, the Black and Gold started out trailing 2-1 after doubles. CU's No. 1 pairing fell 8-5, but their two pairing of Vinicius Santos and Julen Gutierrez evened the match up with a 8-6 win. In the No. 3 match, Stefan Svicevic and Luke Howard forced the match into a tie break, but the Savage Storm pairing won that 8-6 to take the match 9-8.

Only two of CU's singles players were able to pull out wins against SEOSU. Santos earned a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win in the No. 2 spot, while Mateo Velasco won his match in the four spot 6-3, 6-1. The match was tight till the very end, as each of the No. 1, 3, and 6 singles matches went to three sets. Unfortunately, the Storm got wins in each of those to secure the 6-3 win.

The Black and Gold will be back on their home courts tomorrow as both teams take on Oklahoma Baptist with the matches set to start at 2 p.m.
