Box Score 2 LAWTON, Okla. — The Cameron University tennis teams put on a dominant showing against Western New Mexico today, with the Aggie women winning 9-0 and the men winning 8-1.

In the women's match, the No. 15 Aggies got off to a strong start, winning all three doubles matches by at least five games.Â

They continued their dominance into singles play with two set wins in all six matches. The closest match came at No. 1 where
Zhenia Shviadok won 6-3, 6-2.

Cameron's men won in almost the same decisive fashion. No. 46 CU went 3-0 in doubles as the No. 20 ranked pairing of
Mateo Velasco and
Przemyslaw Zielinski won 8-2 at No. 1.

In singles, the Aggies' lone loss came at No. 4 as Velasco went to a third set against WNMU's Zach Grabovic, but lost 10-7 in the tiebreaker. The rest of the singles matches were all won convincingly.Â

Cameron's women are now 11-5 on the year with a 2-1 Lone Star Conference mark, while the men move to 6-9 and 1-0 in league play.

The Aggie women will be back on the courts on Saturday as they host Dallas Baptist at 11 a.m. Next up for the CU men will be when they visit Midwestern State on Wednesday, April 11.
