LUBBOCK, Texas – The Cameron baseball team had a tough day at the plate and on the mound on Sunday, as they were swept by Lubbock Christian in a double-header, 11-0 and 15-1.

In game one of the day, The Aggies managed just four hits in the seven inning contest.
Izrael Trevino,
Dillon Turney, and
Erik Ohman all went 1-3, while
Hayden Jaco was 1-2 with a walk.

The Chaps started their offensive onslaught early, scoring two runs in the first inning and then three more in the second.

After a scoreless third, LCU added three more runs in the fourth and then reached their total of 11 runs in the sixth with three more crossing the plate.

Abel Rosario received the loss, going just 1.2 innings while giving up five runs on six hits with two strikeouts.
Joseph Flood pitched the next three innings, giving up three runs on four hits and four walks, while
Tyler Garcia finished off the game, working the final 1.1 innings.

Lubbock Christian totaled 14 hits and scored all 11 runs a RBI.

Cameron opened up game two of the double-header with their first run of the day. After back-to-back outs to start the top of the first, Turney singled to center to put one on for Jaco. The CU senior drove a ball to left field that allowed Turney to come around to score and give the Aggies the early lead.

However, the Aggies would be held silent the rest of the game. CU totaled just three hits and three walks at the plate. Jaco, Turney, and
Briton Schiewe delivered the hits for the Black and Gold.

The Chaps put up four runs in the fourth, one in both the second and third innings, two more in the fourth, and then exploded for seven in the fifth to give them their big 15-1 lead.

Cole Pretorius was credited with the loss, going 4.0 innings and giving up seven earned runs on 12 hits.
Gaige Vines recorded just one out in his five batters faced, while
Kareem Kobrosli finished off the game on the mound.

Lubbock Christian added 16 hits in the second game of the day, with four doubles and a homer in the contest.
Â
Cameron is now 3-3 on the season, and after winning game one of the series on Friday, will look to even up the series against LCU in the finale, Monday at 1 p.m.
