LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron tennis program split a pair of 4-1 matches against St. Mary's on Friday, with the CU men winning their match and the Aggie women falling to the Rattlers.

In the men's match, the Rattlers only point came in doubles with a 7-6 win at No. 1 and a 7-5 win at No. 3. Cameron got a quick 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 from Mritunjay Badola and then another two-set win from Przemyslaw Zielinski at No. 4. The final two points came at No. 1 and No. 2, as Vinicius Santos and Oscar del Granado had to go to three sets to earn their wins.

The Aggie women's match started the same as the men's match, with STMU taking a 1-0 lead with 6-2 wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Cameron's one point came in the No. 2 singles match, as Rebeka Velasova beat her counterpart 6-4, 6-1.

With their win, the No. 24 ranked Cameron men are now 5-3 on the season, while the women fall to 0-6 on the season with their loss to the Rattlers.

Cameron will have a trio of matches next weekend, March 8-9. They will play both Colorado State-Pueblo and Colorado Mesa on Friday in Wichita Falls, Texas and then host Metro State on Saturday at 2 p.m.
