LAWTON, OK – The Cameron baseball team split a doubleheader with Texas A&M Kingsville on Friday behind a pair of home runs off the bat of
Izrael Trevino.

In game one, CU fell 15-2 to Texas A&M-Kingsville.

Jalen Prince got the scoring started for the Aggies with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the first inning.

Cameron would only come around to score one more time in the seven-inning tilt when
Pierce Khan knocked home
Erik Ohman in the third inning.

In game two, the Cameron offense posted three runs in the third inning as the top of the lineup got their second change against the Kingsville's starting hurler Zach Boyett when
Jaylan Prince doubled to center to plate
Briton Schiewe.
Dillon Turney singled in Prince, and Trevino laced a single into left field that turned into a double thanks to a Javelinas fielding error that allowed Turney to score.

In the top of the fifth, the Javelinas posted three runs of their own all coming on errors to tie the ball game.
          Â
Trevino launched a no doubt home run over the Aggie scoreboard in the bottom of the sixth to regain the lead for the Black and Gold.

Andrew Garza gave up a home run of his own in the top of the seven to allow Texas A&M Kingsville to tie the game back up at four.

In the bottom half of the seventh inning, Trevino hit a walk off two-run home run to take game two, 6-4.

Cameron and the Javelinas are now tied in the league standings at 4-2 in Lone Star Conference play; CU is now 13-18 overall and TAMUK is 20-10 this season.

After the finish of the doubleheader, CU head coach
Brady Huston announced another schedule change to the series. Game three of the series will now be on Sunday at 2 p.m. and the finale will be played Monday at 1 p.m.
