WICHITA, Kan. – The Cameron tennis programs came away with a pair of wins on Saturday, as both the Aggie men and women took down Newman by a score of 7-0.

In the men's match, the No. 14 ranked Aggies opened things up with a trio of wins in doubles play. Pierre Marion and Oscar del Granado won their match at the three spot 6-2, while the No. 24 ranked duo of Vinicius Santos and Julen Gutierrez at one and Przemyslaw Zielinski and Mritunjay Badola at two both won 6-4.

Cameron then swept singles play, all in two sets, to secure the 7-0 win. Santos, who is ranked fourth in singles play, won 6-3, 6-0 at one, while del Granado won 6-2, 2-0 before his opponent retired. Marion in the six spot also had a perfect set win, beating his counterpart 6-2, 6-0.

CU's women fell 6-1 at the No. 1 doubles spot, but Sarah Frendo and Sara Petric won 6-2 at two and Melany Opolz and Pilar Jaurena won 6-0 at three to give the Aggies a 1-0 lead after doubles play.
 
Three of the six singles matches were decided in two sets. The No. 4 ranked Frendo won 6-1, 6-1 at the one spot, while Rebeka Velasova won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 and Alisa Savina won 7-5, 6-3 at No. 4. Opolz and Jaurena both only played one set matches, while Petric won the final two frames of a three-set match.
 
The Cameron men are now 16-3 on the season, while the women improve to 8-13. The two teams will close out the regular season by hosting rival MSU Texas on April 25, with the men's match beginning at 11 a.m. and the women starting at 3 p.m.
