Hamish Murray and the Cameron men's golf team are currently tied for third place after two rounds of play at their home tournament, The Hrnciar, played at the Territory Golf Course.

Joey Kirk led the way during the first 18 holes, shooting an even par. The junior had five birdies on his scorecard, but a rough end to the back-9 prevented him from going under par for the round.
The other top-3 scores for CU in the opening round were separated by just one stroke as Murray shot 73,
Trevor Mierl carded a 74, and
Tyler Kaman shot 75.
Devin Whipple added a 79 to round out the Cameron lineup.
Preston Holmes led the group of individuals with a two-under 70 with
Hunter Drotts shooting 78 and
Donovan Osborne recording an 83 for the first 18 holes.
In the second round, Cameron shot 298 while OC carded a 289 and Texas A&M-Commerce totaled a round-best 285 to jump the Black and Gold. Midwestern State matched the Aggies opening round score to pull themselves into a tie for third place with the host team through 36 holes.
Murray was the lone player under-par for CU in the second round. The Aussie carded four birdies for the round to shoot 71 and put himself into a tie for third individually. Kirk added four strokes to his first round total and is four strokes back of his younger teammate with a 148 heading into the final round.
Mierl added a 75 to his total, giving him a 149, while Kaman shot 79 to give him a 154, one stroke better than Whipple, who shot 76 in round two.
Additionally, Holmes' score grew by 10 strokes to give him a 150 through two rounds, Osborne rebounded with a 75 to give him a 158, tied with teammate Drotts, who shot an 80 as well in the second 18 holes.
As a team, Cameron has 109 pars and 24 birdies for the first two rounds at the Territory. Holmes leads the field with 28 made pars, while Murray has a team-best eight birdies.
The Aggies are nine strokes back of the leading Eagles and seven back of the Lions. Behind CU and MSU is DBU with a 599 36-hole score. Wayland Baptist, Southern Nazarene, MSU "B", Texas Wesleyan and UT Permian Basin round out the rest of the field.
