Aggies Lead Oklahoma Intercollegiate

LAWTON, Okla. – Cameron women's golf finished the first round of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate +14 and is currently tied with Midwestern State for the lead at the Lawton Country Club on Monday.

CU shot a 298 on the day, holding a two-stroke lead over Angelo State and Oklahoma Christian, who are tied for third with an even 300 in round one.

Ashley Davis, Ellie Fellers, and Maria Jose Savoca led the Aggies, shooting a +3 and are tied for sixth place with five others after the opening round.

Maelle Dreyer is currently tied for 16th place with a day one score of 76, and Emma Englefield turned in a score of 79 to open play and sits tied for 27th.

Cameron had four individuals competing in the Oklahoma Intercollegiate; Molleejo Crain is tied for 14th place after carding a 75 in the first round, Mollie Wheeler recorded a first-round score of 80 to hold 35th place, Malerie Nyberg is tied for 40th after a score of 84, and Carley Bolding recorded a round one card of 85 and is tied for 44th place.

Madison Brown of Midwestern and Wilma Merenmies of Oklahoma Christian sit atop the individual field with a first-round score of 72.

The field will conclude the tournament with a shotgun start at 9:00 am on Tuesday.
